Crown re-roofed fourteen occupied apartment buildings at Grove Hall in the Versico EPDM system, staging the work so hundreds of residents kept quiet, safe, and clean buildings throughout.

Fourteen flat roofs across one property, each prone to the two things flat roofs do worst in New England: pond water and leak.
Flat decks give water nowhere to go. Across fourteen buildings, ponding and leakage were not isolated defects - they were the property's baseline condition.
Every building was full. Hundreds of residents lived directly under the work, so the schedule mattered as much as the assembly did.
Documented, sequenced, and largely self-performed. Here is how the work came together on site.
We selected the Versico EPDM system for its service life and its resistance to temperature swings and UV - the conditions that actually end flat roofs in Boston.
Crown worked directly with the engineers, facility managers, and property managers, keeping communication open so problems got solved on site instead of in a change order.
Construction was phased building by building, using quick-install techniques and scheduling the loudest work for the least disruptive hours.
Quiet, safe, and clean was a delivery requirement rather than a courtesy. The property stayed occupied from first tear-off to last.
Grove Hall's fourteen buildings now carry the same EPDM system - drier, cheaper to maintain, and easier to heat and cool.
Slate and copper, done right.
Restoration is Crown's craft. If your building carries a historic slate or copper roof, see how we keep it watertight for another century.
Tell us about your building and what it needs. We will schedule a no-obligation assessment and walk you through what restoration or replacement actually involves - with no pressure to over-build.
